I have told my mom on several occasions that i dont want a bridal party. The close friends i did have moved out of the country and are not able to make it back to the states. My fsil showed that she does have any interest in the wedding or being in the wedding and i am not close to any of my cousins. My FH's bestfriend also did not show any interest in being in the wedding neither. So we decided not to have a bridal party. So my mom has been nagging me that i should have one or else i will look lonely walking down the aisle . But i really dont want one i dont have close friends, FH and i are loners. So today she calls me while im at work to say that i should have a bridal party and all this nonsense..like wth how many times must i say i dont want one!!!
Sorry guys just venting..ugh!!!

And Grod, as an update to my earlier story, one of her bridesmaids last day of work was today.
She didn't even say goodbye to the bride.
Just ridiculous. And now she has to look at those pics forever, and think, hey, what happened to her? I think that's messed up.

i understand what ur mom is saying but what would be the point if u r just going to ask someone just to make u not look so alone walking down?im sure that person knows by now that u didnt want a bp so they might feel strange getting asked knowing u really didnt want one...stick to ur guns girl..explain to mom that all weddings r diffrent and dont have to go by the book..she will come around and most important do what u want bottom line its ur day..hth good luck

I totally support you in not having a bridal party. I don't have a bridal party for similar reasons. People kept trying to get me to pick people but have decided that I would prefer not to have one.

See that is so wrong..that is why i dont want to just choose anyone i want to choose people of substance. Andddd since i dont have anyone that i really want i shall have no one

Thank you everyone for making me feel that i am not nuts for feeling that why have a bridal party when i really dont have anyone i really want and i know that will be there for me..
