So Bummed...

it's 23 days til my wedding and while I should be looking forward to the happiest day of my life.. I can't..


Here's why... I am stuck at a miserable job for the last 7 months.. my boss belittles and demeans me.. he assistant can't stand me.. they are all so mean to me here.. the other day she pulled me into her office with another co woker and proceeds to tell me that when she calls I should jump and that I should be thinking about my job and how to make it better when I am home and should think about this place 24/7.. I almost laughed in her face.. I just can't take it here anymore and don't know what to do..

I interviewed with a great company yesterday and the manager said I was fantastic and is recommending me for the job.. I just have to wait for a background check and who knows how long that will take.. I just need some good vibes bc getting this job would put me back in my financial background and the hours are amazing.. and I just need this..

I am sorry to vent, but I am just so unhappy right now.. and soooo pissed at the same time..

I know this is drastic advice, but maybe you should quit. I know it is risky without another job set up for sure, but you should never have to work with someone who treats you like sh*t. You can always find something-waitress, bartender, retail for when times get really tough. I am so sorry that you are going through this-we spend so much time at our jobs, they should be pleasant!

Hang in there kiddoo....its going to get better cant wait till you can tell your boss, see ya later ..you will get the job you deserve and will be happy SMILLEEEEE...... BRIGHTER DAYS ARE AHEAD, I PROMISE YOU THAT......

PS.. I have a 2nd job bartending on the weekends.. and while it's great money, it was just sold and the new owners are taking over soon.. while they say they are keeping the staff, I am just really afraid to quit here only to be let go there.. THAT would suck..

I thought that the new job was a good thing, but I guess most bosses are Aholes. I hope you get the job and you will be relaxing soon so dont stress to much over the job thing, because after the wedding you can keep looking.

I know exactly how you feel. I recently spent 8 months at the job from hell. My boss was just the way you described yours even said we should take a cut in pay because we are unworthy. He said this to everyone.....he is the devil. I stuck it out and now I have a new job with extremely nice people, my boss is great and I am happy again.
So just continue to bite your tongue and keep looking you will get something new.
