So bummed out...

So bummed out...

I don't know if anyone else feels like this, but I have no motivation to do any wedding stuff and with 3 months to go!!! I've been so bummed about my car getting stolen and having no money to buy a new one. Now I have to rely on my FI to take me everywhere and it's causing A LOT of strain on our relationship, both financially and emotionally. We argue about everything. I'm finally coming to NY next week for my shower. I have not been there since last August. I have back to back meetings for 2 1/2 days straight and don't even want to do it. I also have my shower, but I'm so upset about my car, I feel like I won't have a good time at all. I need to get out of this funk!

I am another July bride in a funk!

Hang in there! I think I am feeling this way b/c the wedding seems to be coming so fast. Where the hell did February and March go?? Plus you have the added stress of dealing with your car. I feel your pain.

Hugs to you.

Cheer up girls... You're getting married!! I know there's been some hardtimes, but if that's the worst you'll ever go through you are ahead of the game..

I was like that for a while, you need a mini break. Now with a month & a half to go I am in full force!

I'm in a bit of a funk myself. I think it was the trouble with my best-friend/ex-bridesmaid that set it off. It's like I'm grieving the loss of my best friend, while at the same time, trying to be happy for my wedding and my future with my FI. It sets up a lot of mixed up feelings! I also have PMS today so that isn't helping any. I'm so tearful lately! Ugh. It's probably just the ups and downs of being a bride-to-be!

I am so sorry about your car being stolen and I could definately see how that could put so much stress on a relationship especially with your wedding coming up.Hang in there. Things will be better soon.

I'm in the same (seemingly sinking) boat! I have NO IDEA how it's only 3 months away now, but the thought of all that needs to be done, PLUS figuring out my life (the big decision of whether I go back to school full-time) and this war is really getting the best of me.

Hang in there, Karen! I've been down a lot lately too and my friends on this board and my bridesmaids have been so incredibly supportive and uplifting. It's been very helpful to feel we're not in this alone!!!

I'm thinking of you...and all the brides who are feeling similarly. Try to have a good weekend.

Karen, I went through a period like that. My grandma passed away in October and at that point I was so far ahead of the game. But then it made me sad to think about her not being there and it has taken me so long to get back into the groove. Now I am so far BEHIND that I am horribly overwhelmed. Last night I got 3 hours of sleep becuase I was obsessing about 100 different things.

I am going to LI tomorrow to try to take care of some of them. But I feel like I have to go back four or five times before the wedding to get everything squared away.

My heards just thinking about it

Hang in there. Just keep thinking about how happy you will be on that day.

Think about the marines that died today and yesterday, and it will make realize what is REALLY important - and what really matters. A car can be replaced; a life cannot.

I have been thinking about all of the military a lot and know that a lot of families are going through worse, especially the families of those who died. This is just a place that I feel comfortably telling how I feel as I have not really told my friends and FI how depressed I am b/c I know that I'll get out of it soon and don't want to worry anyone. All of the girls on the board have provided me with so much support for over a year now, and it's also nice to know when you're not alone and are not the only one going through a phase. I think that is really helpful to a lot of girls on the board. I'm not trying to sound superficial when I say that I'm going through some tough times, I just needed to vent as we all do now and then.

Karen...you have every single right in the world to feel the way you. Do not justify it for anyone. A marriage and life events aren't superficial, , and you are not being superficial. You have alot of stress on you like we all do...and I'm glad you come here to vent.

Granted Minnie, we all have thought about the troops we lost today, but I don't think it needed to be implicated here that she shouldn't worry about this stuff because at least no one is dead. That's a little harsh and unecessary.

I felt the same EXACT way at the three month. I took a few weeks off from the planning and now I am at the 2 month mark and have more than enough to do! Take a week or so off and relax and take a break.

Karen, it wasn't meant at all to be harsh (as Misty implied). I was actually trying to maybe put things in perspective to perhaps make you feel a little lighter-hearted about your problems. Good luck with everything.
