We are going to go in and pick our cake but I honestly have NO idea what they are going to ask, what are good combination, which is better butter cream or whipped cream.....HELP! please

The baker will give you pros and cons about the fillings and toppings. For instance, they don't recommend whipped cream on your cake if it will be sitting out for a long period of time, especially if its hot. It can go bad.

We are getting yellow cake with hazelnut cream filling. There will be a layer of white buttercream and then fondant on top of that. Our hall will peel of the fondant before serving.

Buttercream vs whipped cream is a matter of personal preference. As a kid I loved buttercream, but as an adult I really prefer whipped cream. However, a cake iced with whipped cream cannot be sitting out on display during the entire reception.
Then again, I really want a mousse filling, and that can't sit out all reception long either, so I will probably go with whipped cream.

I'm having an almond cake with cancolli filling. I picked whipped cream. Just so you know you don't have to spend a fortune on a beautiful cake that taste great. King kullans makes lovely cakes that are just yummy! and cost a third what a regular bakery would charge you.

I am doing a square cake with fondant icing. It is going to be marble cake with one layer of chocolate pudding & another layer of cannoli

We had buttercream icing, vanilla cake with rasberry and buttercream filling.....it was sooo good!!!
