So I have been talking about having an acapella group at the wedding for some time now. However here is the sitch, they are $750 for an hour plus I have 5 of them to tip. I can get a duet of violin an cello for a great deal less, as well as a harpist. What should I do? Both the harpist and string players stated that they ca do an eclectic mix of music which is important to me, as I am different and don't want the traditional ceremony songs. What do I do? The duet is $50 more then the harpist, should I do that???????

I LOVE violin at a wedding. And they can usually do a wide range of songs.

Hmm im kind of torn btwn the string duet and the harpist, but it sounds like you want something unique and I dont feel that i've seen many harpists at weddings but have seen the strings...so I voted for the harpist. I think that would be really beautiful!

String duet, very different. Harpist is nice also, depends on what you are looking for.

I had a hard time choosing for you...but i picked the harpist bc its different
i am torn for my wedding too, not sure which to choose...I think I will elave it up to FH!

Glad you raised this. I'm trying to decide too. Does anyone have a harpist they recommend? I got some very varying prices from $300-$700 for ceremony

The harpist I called came recommended, she plays eclectic songs too!!!!!!! She said she plays the beetles and also led zeppelin.
