well, I had a long talk w/my mom today.

I put my feelings on the table and she apologized.

when I left her house, it was hard saying goodbye. she was clearly very upset

I'm not so sure I should have even said anything. I feel guilty now.

Oh well, at least I got up the courage to say something.

DT, you dont feel guilty.....you did what you needed to do and now your mom will understand your feelings adn maybe put everything into a different perspective.. I am glad you did what you did..and you will be too!

That is awesome...and something I never did. That's great for you...I hope she's able to see things from your perspestive a bit.

OMG! I just read this post...I'm so sorry this is happening with your Mom, but I am very glad you spoke to her. It's important that you told her how you feel. Don't feel guilty...this is your wedding and it has got to hurt not having your Mom's support and having her share in the excitement. You did the right thing.

Good for you for telling her how you feel. I know what you are going through - I've felt the same way at times. I recently laid things out for my mom too and it got pretty nasty. I felt bad b/c she did have her feelings hurt, but so did I. Atleast now my mom knows how I feel, as does yours. Hopefully, now that you did that, things will be better.
