So depressed...FINALLY UPDATED! I kow you waited a long time!!

Hey Girls! I really need your prayers. There is a lot going on right now and I am having a really hard time keeping it together.

Remember last week how I said I was going to have make up some vacation time for the wedding and honeymoon even though I went through all the correct avenues to get the time off approved? Well now the new story is 'it is against company policy to make up time' so they will likely be taking my pay for all my wedding/honeymoon time. I just don't know what to do. Right now I am in limbo. Waiting for the managing partner to sit down with me and workout something out but my request to meet today has not been acknowledged. My whole family seems to think that I am getting fired. That they are changing policies just to say that I am not following policy. I did everything they asked of me. If the vacation time was a problem, why was it approved??

Please pray for me. I am so scared and so worried. I don't know why they are doing this.

In addition I was supposed to have a second fitting this past Saturday and my dress was not there. The seamstress 'forgot' to bring it back. So I am rescheduled for another fitting this Thursday at 1 (while on my lunch hour). Please pray my dress is there and ready.

UPDATE #2: Thank you so much girls for all thinking of me and being concerned!! Things went quite well actually. I still have my job. They won't let me work overtime, but they also are not docking my pay. So we are going to work something out. I am gonna put some time in on Christmas Eve even though I am supposed to be off. And basically his attitude was if you work with us we will work with you. Also it turned out my vacation hours were accruing at a lower rate than what was promised. So that is going to be adjusted and will hopefully help. Also We are getting the day after Christmas off so I don't have to use my hours for that. I think it is all going to work out and he was very kind and accommodating with me. So overall it was a good outcome. He never knew that I asked for approval so long ago and was approved. He also never knew that at that time I asked what can be done to make sure I have enough hours and won't be behind upon my return. So he was upset that his partner never told him that I tried to do things the right way! So it was a good meeting! I was relieved. Thanks for asking!! LOVE YOU GIRLS@

Why are they doing that to you!!?? Its your wedding and your honeymoon! I am sorry I really hope everything works out for you!!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Just what you need right before your wedding! I'm sure it will all work out. Maybe the person who approved your vacation time stepped on someone else's toes and and now they other person is trying to make a point. It's completely unfair and you are totally in the right though. I would definitely try to talk to them. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I am hoping not to get laid off every day myself, so I feel your pain.

Sorry your having a bad day. My fingers are crossed for you. I really don't think there's a reason to fire you. Maybe they just want to sit down and discuss your time and figure out a way to make it work. Make sure you update us.

I am soo sorry this is happening to you. Sweetie you not getting fired, There are too many avenues a company has to go trough before they can fire you. Everything will work out fine. Try not to stress too hard.

Oh no Jess....I'm soo sorry! Do you have any of your conversations with your boss documented? Or was this all done by verbal agreement?

do you have it in writing that they approved your time off? If you do, make sure you bring that with you into any meeting they may hold.

I find it ridiculous that they would give you a problem for your honeymoon, that is really just despicable. I'm praying that it all works out for you

WOW! That stinks! I am soooo sorry for you. This doesn't sound like a company I would ever want to work for. Maybe you should think about finding a new one after the wedding.

They need to at least work something out with you... especially since they already approved it and you booked the HM. Even if you get to leave without pay but don't get fired for it.... at least then you have something.
