So Disappointed, RH Won’t Allow Professional Fireworks

So Disappointed, RH Won’t Allow Professional Fireworks

My RH (Swan Club) has a huge open space in the water and I assumed I could have professional Fireworks. I was arranging it and it cost around $7,000 but the Swan Club told me no.

I really wanted Fireworks. Is anyone else getting fireworks, like really nice Macy’s 4th of July type fireworks?

dont feel bad and its not swan club's fault, fireworks are illegal in New York so they really can't be done.

there are companies that have permission and have permits to do this but most rh's wont have this

I know that’s why I was using the company that does fireworks for big events at Jones Beach and the Hamptons. I told the RH they were professional and licensed but they still said “hell-to-the-nah”.

No fair… I’m having an evening wedding and that would have been the finishing touch for the night!

I'm sure you can figure out something you can do to make it more special without involving fireworks.

Aww that would have been awesome there!!

Do they let you do sparklers at least? I saw some pics of a wedding that had that and they looked so pretty!

im sorry, well the place you are doing the fireworks has to have permission to do them so thats why they cant be done bc swan club probably isnt allowed to have them anywhere on their property...dont worry your wedding will still be everything you've wanted

Actually I do this all the time for events.

The reason is the distance from where the fireworks are launched to where they will be people. Not just people at your Reception.

There are also a bunch of permits to have done and you need a fire marshall on sight.
Also they would need to secure the area to make sure no one would even be walking near the launch sight.

They base how much room they need depending on the millimeter size of the fireworks.
Maybe you could talk to your firework company again and see if they have any smaller ones?

ETA: Sparklers would be a nice touch as well!

Fireworks are illegal in NY State ... only certain poeple are allowed to have them like parks for the 4th ... and thats with permits and things. No RH allows them. When are you getting married? We are getting married on July 3, so we are hoping for some fireworks that night!

Yes but Grucci and Bay Fireworks do them all the time for different events. I've even spoken to my contact at Grucci for my wedding....and I've even been to a wedding last year where they did fireworks.

Its illegal for NYers to buy and launch them...but not a licensed company.
