My reception Hall manager called today. If some of you remember yesterday, I started a post about who had paid their reception halls in full. Everyone assured me that I was not the only one who had not paid in full. Well he called and said 'When you send in your payment of $4500(larger than agreed).
please change the name of who u are writing the check to'. It's been two months since the last payment. I knew it was too long .But my Dad is paying. I gotta light a fire under him. I know it may be silly. But I don't want another Hurry up with the money idiot don't u want to get married call. It makes me nervous.

Fox Hollow sends a notice to you in the mail. I have yet to receive a call requesting the money. And they don't ask for payments that large!

We never get a call or bill or anything!! I think we're just expected to remember!!! (Which thank God for FH, I'm the one that remembers!!)

But that does sound like a large payment to be making!!! Ours is about 1/4 of that!!

I dont have to pay until a certain amount of time before the wedding... You girls pay monthly?

Me and FH have just been putting down money here and there? In all different amounts.

Wow how rude! We make out payments every three month and the final balance is due I believe two weeks before the reception.

The last and final payment shouldn't be due until at least the month of your wedding. And you pay it at the final contract/meeting where you pick the cake, set up everything and make final arrangements. That's not just rude, it's odd.

Our schedule was as follows:

Deposit $500
First Payment $1,000
Second Payment $1,500
Third Payment $2,000

Nothing else due until the week before the wedding.

I made a deposit of 1K and then I make 4 payments of 2K every other month (January, March, May, July) and then the rest is due the week before.

I know how you feel...
we put 3,000 down and have not heard from them at all. I have been waiting for a call or something but they say nothing and we don't have the money to put down.
I guess they will call eventually???????
