I don't know if you remember, but a couple of weeks ago I posted about how a dress I love had been discontinued (my fav dress). I was really upset about it but decided that it probably just wasn't meant to be. Well....I really couldn't get my mind off the dress and after talking to a few bridal shops it looks like the designer is willing to remake the gown for a fee!! I am sooo happy because this has been my favorite dress!!! I thought it was going to be impossible to get...but it looks like it is a possibility!!!!

The one thing is that it has been pretty tough finding a sample of this gown in a bridal shop so that I can try it on. None of the LI/NYC/Northern NJ shops carry the sample. Some used to carry it, but have since sold their sample. I thought it was going to be impossible to try it on until I contacted one bridal shop in CT. They didn't have the sample either, BUT they are part of some sort of network of bridal shops in the US and can borrow the sample from another store!!!! The consultant was able to track down the gown in the size/color I'm looking for in OHIO!!! The shop in Ohio shipped out the gown yesterday to the CT store and I have an appointment with the CT store next week to try it on!

I am sooooo excited that I'm finally going to be able to try the dress on! However, I'm also starting to lose my patience because I want to try it on NOWWWW!!! Please wish me luck!! I really can't wait!!!!!!!!!

wow you only started looking like a week ago right? and you already are ready for the one! I guess I am more indecesive than i thought, i've been shopping since septemeber and ive only got my mind set recently! i took me like 3 months and you a week? lol!! the dress looks very pretty hope its the one and if its not, either way you will feel better after youve tried it on! That happened to me and i ended up liking dresses that i never thought i'd even try on! good luck!!

I have actually loved this dress for months! Even from before I was engaged and I got engaged 5 months ago. I was waiting to start dress shopping because ideally I wanted to buy my dress after the new year. But then suddenly this dress was no longer on the Paloma Blanca website and I found out it was discontinued. I was upset and this scared me and I suddenly felt the need to start dress shopping because I was afraid that the other dresses that I liked were going to be discontinued too. I like some of the other dresses but I have always had this dress in the back of my mind because I have loved it for so long...it has truly been my favorite all along. So if I love it on as much as I love it now I will def be ordering it.

I don't think you can estimate how long it should take to find 'the dress'...some girls go shopping once and find it and others take months. I've been going shopping for 2 weeks, 4 dress shops, and have tried on so many dresses so far. I already have a very clear idea of what I want so if this is the one...then it's the one!
