My original wedding date was 12/7/07 and I just could not get into the planning. I did not feel right with the season, I always wanted to be a October bride!!! My FH and I just changed the date today and I cant be more excited! I am finally going to have the fall wedding I wanted - the only thing is that I only have 9 months to plan the wedding now and I have absolutely NOTHING accomplished.
I am most nervous about getting a dress for myself and the BMs. Any suggestions on a great bridal store that will work with me with this timeframe?
Try RK bridal for your dresses - my dress arrived in less than 2 months!

you shouldnt have a problem getting your dresses in on time, most dresses take less than 6 months. just emphasize the timeframe when you are on your search. i like centereach bridal suite and fantasia's bridal in rocky point. i got my dress at centereach bridal suite as well as my BM dresses. make yourself a to do list and get started and have fun! dress, photo, dj should near the top of your list!

I don't think you need to worry, but I got my dress at the bridal suite of centereach as well, thinking I needed it in 3 months (long story) and they worked with me and it was in within a month and 1/2.

you can try davids cause my cousin took heres home the same day!!!!!!! but i hear bridal suite of centereach is fantastic

Don't worry - I picked my date in the middle of January 06 and got married 10/28/06 - you have plenty of time. Concentrate on one vendor at a time. Happy Planning!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats - I am glad that you got the October wedding that you wanted all along!
We only had a 5 month engagement, trust me it can be done. Just explain to the salons your timeframe and they will show you the dresses that they can get in plenty of time. Although if you and the girls start shopping soon, you should not have a problem with may of the dresses.

No worries about the dresses. I got married in November and didnt order my gown til late March and my girls until early May. You will have plenty of time!

Congratulations!! Don't be nervous, I'm planning my wedding in 10 months...and I have nothing done either!!! I think your first priority is to get your dress and your photographer/video done..after that everything else will fall into place!!! I got my dress from the Wedding Salon in Manhasset, they were awesome!! FM if you need to talk!!!

Thank you everyone! I feel so much better about the date and now def about the timeframe :) I can not be more excited!
I will def look into these bridal salons. I tend to work better under pressure anyway! lol

I ordered my dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa at the end of Sept. and it just came in...you may want to try them.
