SO EXCITED!! Giants parade

Both FH & I took off work tomorow.. we didn't like about why we're taking off.
We are so excited to go!!

Well that's good. FH is so excited. I am going in honor of my cousin who just died last week . He was REALLY looking forward to this Super Bowl. We buried him in his Giants jersey and I drove all the way out to Calverton (where he is buried) before the game to put a flag on his grave.

we have a birds eye view. i work right on broadway across the street from city hall. i already booked all the conference rooms overlooking broadway !

Now that the Giants have won the Super Bowl 17-14 against the New England Patriots, it is time to party! The team will get a very special homecoming parade along the Canyon of Heroes. The ticker-tape parade is planned for Tuesday and will begin around 11 a.m. The route will go north from Broadway and Battery Place to Chambers Street. After the parade there will be a break followed by a ceremony at City Hall around 1 p.m.

Expect serious gridlock in Lower Manhattan before, during and after the Giants Super Bowl victory parade on Tuesday.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says for one, the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel will be especially backed up.

The parade begins at 11 am on Broadway at Battery Place and heads north to Chambers Street. The fun ends with a ceremony at City Hall.

New York City Transit officials say your best bet is to avoid the 4, 5 and 6 subway lines (they're usually packed with weekday commuters.)

Take the 2 and 3 lines to Chambers Street or Wall Street or take the J train to Broad Street.

Trains that make stops in places like City Hall, Park Place and the Brooklyn Bridge stops may skip those stations during the parade and ceremony at City Hall.

Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road will be adding trains for people wanting to make it to the parade.

it could be worse, we've been waiting a long time for this.. we havent had a parade for any NY team since 2000, we needed this!!
