Both FH & I took off work tomorow.. we didn't like about why we're taking off. We are so excited to go!!

Yea im glad I dont commute to the city anymore. Every train is going to be loaded with crazy Giants fans
just what i need bright and early in the morning
the worst will be when i get downtown
good luck getting around haha. I remember the Yankee parade that was insane, this is going to be worse!
yeah i went to 2 or was it 3 yankee parades and they were so much fun.

probably if anything it will be the way it was for the 1996 yankees parade, they hadnt won since 1978. It was 4 million ppl

yeah it was insane...and theres only about 8-9million people in NYC so that was about half

Starts at 11 and ends at 1pm at Cty Hall. I think they are having ceremonies there.

well usually they get to city hall(which is where they are given the keys to the city) i think around 12:30 something like that...So the parade ends then but for the yankees parade i used to go right by city hall which i prefered, if you get there at a good time, right in front of city hall they'll have a podium and the seats for the players and then about 100 seats in front of the podium for press and special guests and right behind that a barracade, we used to go right behind that barracade...This way youre there and get to see them accept their keys,give speeches and all that. I know last yankees parade they changed things up a bit so it was a little bit harder to get to.

Parade info: Now that the Giants have won the Super Bowl 17-14 against the New England Patriots, it is time to party! The team will get a very special homecoming parade along the Canyon of Heroes. The ticker-tape parade is planned for Tuesday and will begin around 11 a.m. The route will go north from Broadway and Battery Place to Chambers Street. After the parade there will be a break followed by a ceremony at City Hall around 1 p.m.
Expect serious gridlock in Lower Manhattan before, during and after the Giants Super Bowl victory parade on Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says for one, the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel will be especially backed up.
The parade begins at 11 am on Broadway at Battery Place and heads north to Chambers Street. The fun ends with a ceremony at City Hall.
New York City Transit officials say your best bet is to avoid the 4, 5 and 6 subway lines (they're usually packed with weekday commuters.)
Take the 2 and 3 lines to Chambers Street or Wall Street or take the J train to Broad Street.
Trains that make stops in places like City Hall, Park Place and the Brooklyn Bridge stops may skip those stations during the parade and ceremony at City Hall.
Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road will be adding trains for people wanting to make it to the parade.
Just saw this info.. thanks. Good news is I work on Broadway so can watch from our window, the bad news is I get off at Wall Street and they're telling people to get off there! Maybe I should come in super early so I don't get trampled going up the subway stairs?

Ugh, it's going to be a nightmare tomorrow, so crowded. I work on Broadway and Liberty and my office looks out right on Broadway so I'll see it (and hear it I'm sure ) when it goes by. It's just going to be soooo annoying getting around in the morning and for lunch. I hope it rains.
(can you tell I'm not a giants fan?)

it is supposed to rain but that wont stop us!! Maybe take a mental health day lol
