so excited, today is a monumental day for FH & !

we are making our very first investment together!

Just a CD and a money market but it is all of our savings and hardwork over the past year.

It seems so surreal to me!

we did that about 6 months ago. I wanted to show him how easy it was to pay bills online. He got s.u.c.k.e.d. in and kicks himself for buying so many stamps!

Aww congratulations! I know this is going to sound sooo stupid, but we've lived together for about a year and a half now and I have always had my own little loose change bottle and this weekend I combined mine with his and said 'uh oh there' s no turning back now'

we have a joing CC too but otherwise we don't really mingle our finances. He has a checking acct, I have mine, we pay our own bills and have managed a way to take care of wedding bills together. It all works out.

The investment part is truly scary for me. I have my own porfolio but he hasn't made any genuine investments outside of his IRA so it's a big deal for us to have joint investment.

I still believe we need our own independance financially

so how about you ladies? Are you COMPLETELY co-mingled or independant and joint?
