We've been booking vendors regularly and I go into serious bride mode after each vendor. I feel like we are constantly talking about wedding stuff. I feel like a bride, but for some reason I can't imagine that this is all going to really happen--It feels sooo far away.

I feel like we constantly talk about wedding stuff, however, my photographer issues have really put a damper on my wedding and have made me actually hate wedding planning. I'm sure once that is completely over and done with, i will enjoy it more! :)

We just started planning our wedding and although work gets into the way, we are having fun. I somewhat have the 'bride' feeling but I think once most of the planning is done I will be able to sit back and relax and feel like a bride!

I kinda feel like a bride but I know what you mean. I think once I go dress shopping I'll get that feeling. Right now I'm just doing all the major vendors and I find that stressful. I can't wait to start all the details

I'm with you. I'm focused on those other things as well. Even though I have venue/DJ/photographer/videographer booked, I still feel like school is putting a huge damper on the whole experience. I'm in the middle of appointments with florists which helps a little, but I still don't have the 'WOW I'm getting married' feeling. I'm sure once the date gets closer and people start talking about it more the feeling will kick in.

the dress definitely makes you feel more like a bride. my day is a year and a half away but I'm like summer is going to come and go and the holidays fly for us because its FMIL birthday, his birthday, thanksgiving, christmas, his sisters birthday, new years, my birthday and then it's february and I'll be 6 months away! I'm hoping by my 1 year away date I can have everything booked and set and just work on making my invites and paying things off.

Aww! I definitely feel like a bride. FH & I went right into wedding planning mode after the engagement. We did a lot fast and always have at least one wedding related thing going on. I loveee this feeling and can't wait to be a wife

I felt like a bride when we first got engaged, but the feeling has worn off since then, thanks to LIFE. I've had a few moments where I got the feeling back, like when we saw Lombardi's and when we were creating a playlist last weekend. I'm not really girly about stuff so I don't know if I will TRULY feel the 'feeling,' except maybe when it's the week of. I'm just having a lot of fun

haha agreed I felt like new once we got engaged but I'm sure once the 6 month crunch comes we're gonna feel like bridezillas then brides :) remember a bride only is for a day, a wife is a lifetime!

I don't really feel like a bride yet..maybe its because we haven't booked a venue yet. I also distracted with applications anr interviews needed for my last year of graduate school so I'm soo preoccupied! This is making think twice about getting married immediately after graduation lol

I wish I could wear a veil around all day everywhere I go. I do definitely feel like a bride, choosing flowers and photographers and bands, and eventually my dress. When I am not at work, I'm usually doing something wedding related, as I really want the day to go flawlessly!

Tail end of 2013-er crashing...I don't feel like a bride at all. We're the last in a long line of friends to get married this year and we're being pulled in all directions for everyone else's wedding. Not that I had any control over it, but it's a far from ideal situation, because no one really gets the spotlight to themselves and I think part of the 'bride' feeling is being treated like a bride which hasn't happened to me. I've actually been told that my wedding is less important because its so far away compared to everyone else's. The only people who I've been able to be excited with are my family and co-workers. Honestly, I don't think I'll feel it till the day of.

I really do feel like a bride. I think getting your dress helps along with the month by month countdown.

Pretty much this. Especially when people ASK me about the wedding plans... it makes me SO happy. Last night at a family party I saw part of my family that I haven't seen since we got engaged. It was my cousins' 1st birthday and I got to talk about my wedding for a majority of the night. All my family kept asking and we even got two engagement gifts!!

I think a big part of my problem is that no one aside from very few friends have even ASKED me about wedding plans. Two of my FSIL got married a year and a half ago and planned their weddings in a couple of months. When I try to talk to FH parents, they say what I'm planning is nice, but then say how far away it still is and how much time we stil have for everything. It feels kind of like I'm planning and paying vendors for something that isn't really happening. I'm hoping once it gets closer and the details start coming up, people will start talking about the wedding and I'll start getting excited.
