so far we've looked at.....

larkfield manor- great price, beautiful ballroom, plenty of seating at cocktail hour

watermill- absolutely, positively loved it! only thing I am concerned about is guests congregating around that bar downstairs behind the wall...but we are in love with the place!

lombardi's on the sound @port jeff- unbelievable view but kind of pricey + I wasn't sure about the cocktail hour and outside patio restaurant being completely visible to one another

north ritz club- this place was very nice, seems like they offer alot and if you use their vendors they eat for free which is nice

fox hollow- didn't like the idea of sharing the same bathroom with another wedding but it was nice.

tonight we are looking at captain bill's- our best friends got married there 2yrs ago and it was great!!
at this point we are still leaning towards watermill....if captain ills offers a better price we may go with them.

we got married at the watermill, and although the bar was crowded at all times, the dancefloor was also always packed! and they have servers to bring you drinks if you want to, so no one even needs to go to the bar. but it offers you a nice place to get away to if you want....

I'm getting married at Capt Bill's and it was really reasonable compared to other places we looked at. I didn't look @ Watermill though so can't help with a comparison!

All of those places are really great. I went to the watermill a few times and people do congregate at the bar, but ina way it is good because they are kind of hidden so if they are taking shots you really dont see it. My other friend got married at the larkfield manor and couldnt stop telling me how wonderful they were. They will do anything you want them too and the owner is hands on for teh whole wedding
