They just keep letting people join!! I can never find parking. I have to drive around the lot like 5 times (and its pretty big).
Half the time I have to wait for a treadmill or machines.
People are always screaming on their cell phones.
There's always 12 year olds running around.
I never had this problem at my old gym...
I'm trying to decide if its worth the $$$ to join a new gym. Planet fitness scuks..but its only $20 a month. Anywhere else I go Ill be paying much more, plus a start up fee.
I might just go back to synergy. maybe they'll waive the start up fee or...reduce it.
Can anyone reccomend thier gym near east meadow/levittown area?

Synergy is a really good gym just not during 'rush hour' you'll have about the same problems....I use to work at the one in baldwin and bw 5 to 8 is was Packed! I wish I knew people at the levittown one, Id see what I could do for the signup fee, sorry
I went to the levittown one for 2 years and never had a problem. my dad goes there now.

I was going to the PF in Bayshore, but I was having the same problems. I quit that gym and joing Fitness Incentive in Babylon Village. I LOVE IT! I lost 7 lbs already!

Thats good! ....Id go with him....when I joined there (before working for them) I got the mgr to lower my rate to 25/month lol......I think 30 is the lowest they will go now....I havent been there in 3 yrs

I only pay 10 bucks a month at planet fitness - maybe if u went a little bit later rather than straight from work I find its better like 630 pm or later...
noooooooo not at the one colleen and i belong to. it's HORRIBLE up until at least 9pm (maybe even later but i'm always gone by 9pm).
it really is the most ridiculous out of control place i've ever been to in my life. it's just soooo convenient and soooooo cheap. but man that parking lot is a disaster!

I dont know how budget figures in but I am a member of the NY Health & Raquet Club in Great Neck. It is always very clean, RARELY full, it comes w/ a swimming pool too and plenty of towels and locker room area. After 7 pm, there's maybe 10 people on the machines at any one time.
FH is a member of the NY Sports Club in East Meadow and says he doesnt see it too packed during evening hours (granted, he goes there from 4 to 5 pm usually).

yupp!!! i couldnt agree with u more! planet fitness succccksssssss!!
fh and i joined in january, then found out it had like 2 machines and there were a billion people there. we asked for a complete refund and i went back to my old gym.

this is why i loveee my gym . open 24 hr on most days. and i usually get the dance studio to myself.which im obsessed with. jaccuzzis, saunas,steam rooms. and most importantly...
