So FH is away for the weekend...

and I ended up sleeping on the couch because I was in bed tossing and turning until about 3am. The bed was too big and empty without him in and I just couldn't sleep.


Is anyone else like this??

YES! I work nights and my FH does not sleep in the bed when I'm at work for that reason lol

Actually, I'm the exact opposite. I sleep much better alone. To be fair, I think it's because we have a full-sized bed, which frankly, to me, is much too small for two people and a cat. We probably won't get a bigger bed until we buy a house and I CAN'T WAIT. In the meantime, I have to figure out a way to deal with my space issues!

We have a queen sized bed and FH takes up most of the space ... obviously he's 6'6' lol. It works for us because I pretty much sleep curled into a ball like right up against him. I call it the nook lol. I also rely on him for body heat LOL I'm always freezing!

We also don't let the cat sleep in the bed. When we get a house and a dog... I want a king size bed!!

This! We have a full too and I hate it! We're about to remodel our master bedroom though so the king is on it's way thank goodness. Once I actually punched FH in the hip while I was sleeping and told him to move over (I have no recollection of this) we don't sleep apart very often but when we do it's basically the best nights sleep ever LOL

So FH is away for the weekend...

FH and I don't live together and I have a queen size bed all to myself so sometimes it seems really empty after we've spent the day cuddling. But other times, I enjoy the extra space to spread out since whenever I sleep over FH's house, we're crammed into his twin size bed!

I'm in the same boat as you! FH and I are both on twin size beds also! I'd kill for a full at this point lol...the only difference is that I sleep like a baby the next night b/c I usually wake up every hour or 2 when we spend the night together!

Fh used to do that because I move around a lot but he's gotten used to it.

I like a big bed to myself :) but FH doesn't like it. for example I've been really sick the past two days, sleeping on the couch because upstairs is just too hot for me and he refused to sleep up there alone. of course I miss him if I have to sleep alone but I spread out like I'm 6' in all directions lol

FH and I don't live together but when i stay at his house or he stays at mine- we have SUCH a hard time sharing a queen bed :( granted, i love sleeping in the same bed...BUT....she snores, moves all over the place and is a pure hot mess when he sleeps!!!! Our first few months of living together are going to be quite interesting!

We don't live together, but I see him basically EVERY day. He worked 6pm-2am this past week and I work until 6, so it was torture to not see him for a week! I usually sleep there during the week as well, so it was totally weird. I hated it!!

Although I'm constantly waking up 6 times a night from FHs snoring, every once in a while he'll fall asleep on the couch (either accidentally or bc he wants to try to let me have a full uninterrupted nights sleep), and I'll toss and turn. Although we have a king sized bed, our pups sleep right in between us, and they actually take up the most room!! Lol

I totally know how you feel Katie!! When I know FH is going away for the weekend, I usually invite a fried or my cousin to sleep over so I'm not as lonely.

Last night I barely got any sleep. I didn't fall asleep until about 3am and I kept waking up :(

OMG I can relate!! My FH went to Miami for the wknd with his friends and it's been hard going to sleep because this is the first time in 2 years that we have been apart for more than 1 day, but I have been trying to keep busy so I don't think about it ..he went to Vegas 3 years ago but it was the beginning so it wasn't so bad lol..but it will be my turn in 2 weeks when I go to Miami for my gf's bachlorette LOL

Exciting he gets to come home soon!! I have to wait until tomorrow when I pick him up at the airport

My sleep isn't affect by FH being away, or actually being there. We share a king size bed - something that we got when we moved in (life saver!!). However when FH is gone for a weekend, I usually sleep in his spot. I like the smell of his pillow when he's gone :)

OMG He's finally home!!!! I was so excited when he text me he was home I left my friends house LOL. To be fair I had been there all day already... but I really missed him!!
