in Florida...The bride and groom stole our first dance song!!!! I am upset!!! I told the bride months ago what our song was and they used it Now everyone is going to think we are copying them...Sorry, I am having a meltdown moment and I needed to vent!!

I would still use the song - just to prove a point if anything. And as the above poster said, dance alone to it with your FH & invite the bp up after. We danced just the two of us to 'Follow you, Follow me' by Genesis then invited the bp & parents up after it was over & 'Just the Way You Are' by Billy Joel played. Don't worry, they don't own the rights to it & honestly, half the time people (especially men) don't remember what song people used so noone will be thinking 'oh so and so used that song' Believe me, my DH never remembers what song people do their first dance to.

I would def still use your song. Some People just cant use their OWN imagination! I know how you feel its REALLY annoying but hang in there! And Plus I am sure People wont even notice.

maybe by chance, it was the friends song too..
i wouldn't look to much into this as you are getting married to a wonderful man.
the song is special between you and your FH for a reason. dont let the fact that somebody else used bring you down.
Did you think it's off limits cause you said you were using it? If people steal stuff from other ppl on purpose to spite someone, i could understand but it may be fate that you have the same song.
