Crest Hollow Woodbury CC Jericho Terrace Venetian Yacht Club
Can anyone tell me what to expect maybe or questions to ask? Maybe some of you have been here before and noticed something that I should?? Thanks everyone! I am nervous and excited!

Hey twin!! I went to Cresthollow CC and Woodbury CC.
Cresthollow-I loved the outside area but wanted a more intimate feel.. The cocktail area is gorgeous!!! I just didn't like that they could have one cocktail hour going on while the other one is being set up. Also, when I went, there were people playing volleyballl.. the inside room was nice and the one we saw had a little patio area that is yours for the night. =) We had an appointment with a new person so she didn't really know much. I have also heard to be careful with restrictions after you sign with them! Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with them, they just weren't right for me.
Woodbury CC- I Loved!!! It was the first RH me & FH visited and we loved the outdoor area.. If you're still booking for 9/1/13, I'm not sure how your area would look because we only saw the room we would be in. I've heard their food is amazing but they weren't really willing to throw much in, although.. they were the only hall who didn't charge us more for it being a 'Holiday Sunday' and they were the cheapest Sunday price out of all the venues we saw. It all worked out for us. =)

i looked at woodbury CC and had my wedding at chcc...and i can say i highly recommend chcc!!! As far as the previous poster, yes they are a country club so the pool/volleyball is open to their members if you have a daytime wedding and I do agree that would be a turnoff for me. however, if you have a night wedding you dont have that problem. chcc had a few rooms which had diff feels to them...imo i was in the plaza room and it was more elegant but if you want more of a party vibe go for the emerald room. they were willing to negotiate and we can not believe how much we got for our price...for under $120 pp we have filet mignon upgrade, vienese 30 mins, raw seafood station at the ch, chair covers plus much more. their staff was amazing and the night was perfect!!! they do have other wedding taking place, but their staff does make you feel like you are the only ones there. we still have friends saying how good the food was.
We liked woodbury but when it came down to it, chcc was about $40 less per person and they gave a TON of more options.

I wasn't a huge fan of Crest Hollow. As the previous posters mentioned they had a volleyball tournament or whatever going on while there were weddings going on. I believe cocktail outside is extra $$$. It's beautiful outside as far as the pool area, cocktail hr, and outside ceremony. It wasnt a right fit for us b/c we are getting married in November. I have to say for the month of Nov their rates were pretty reasonable. Also, the menu options were kind of skimpy in certain areas and we felt the appt was more a 'business meeting'. I would suggest writing down a bunch of questions for the venues you are visiting. Not sure about the other ones mentioned. I was going to schedule an appt for Venetian but ended up falling in love with our venue. I hear Venetian is good too. Good luck!

Hey,
I also visited Ventian Yacht Club! They're extremely open to working with you and it was my favorite bm to visit with! Her name was Felicia and she was super honest and gave great advice!!! We just felt the outdoor space was too small for everyone comfortably but the room is gorgeous!

i just had mine wedding at WCC and everything was GREAT!!!!!!!! food, drinks, service my guests are still calling me and raving about how great my wedding was....i talked them down in price and got a great deal....not one complaint about WCC!!!!

I looked at 3 of the 4 you mentioned and I been to a wedding at JT. All of them had great things to offer us. In the end it came down to how we pictured our wedding. I just knew VYC was the perfect fit. Enjoy the experience of looking!!

CHCC pretty much ignored us and were too busy to show us around, even though we had an appointment.. after waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes we left and they didn't notice.. I got a call 3 days later from a lady appologizing and told me to come in and she'd make it worth my while.. I already wasted an hour going there and didn't like that they had so much going on there and couldnt keep track of a simple appointment.
I loved WCC and we were able to negotiate.. but Ive heard from others they weren't able to get anything so I guess it depends on who you deal with and when you are getting married. We've been to 3 food tastings and its amazing and I love the grounds and just wish we could take advantage of them, but we can't since we have a January wedding.

WCC was willing to negotiate with us too... and actually called a month later and reminded us of this but it was too far away for us

Hello!! FH and I are thinking about booking the Venetian Yacht Club!! We absolutely fell in love with it. Felicia was wonderful and left an open door for negotiation. Tell her what your looking to spend pp and she may be able to give you some great advice or ideas!!! The room is gorgeous and the view is great!!! Good Luck.

Obviously I am partial to VYC but all are great choices. My brother was married at WCC and it was amazing (even 10 yrs ago).
VYC has great food and a gorgeous location. You can have guests inside and outside for CH. We are getting married outside, weather permitting, and having a 90 min CH followed by 4 hour Reception upstairs.
FM with any questions! I work with Eric for my BM and he has been wonderful so far.

Venetian is also great, reasonable prices in the off season... I have yet to go for a tasting but I have heard the food is very good also. The view is spectacular.

Ok I just replied to your other thread and didn't know which places you were taking about. VYC has been nothing but wonderful to us. We had a food tasting prior to booking because we just couldn't book a place without knowing how the food is. The food was wonderful!! And the place speaks for itself on how beautiful it is!

I find it hard to imagine that more than one person saw guests play volleyball while visiting Crest Hollow. FH and I have been there several times, and all we saw were highly organized celebrations. And to play during someone's outdoor CH? Are you sure it was a wedding and not something else?
