Why don't you try Sans Souci, Westbury Manor, Lands End, Timberpoint CC.
The Crescent Beach Club is beautiful but your getting married in June and the prices are a bit higher. Maybe you should try March or April and see what the price difference is.

Re: So frustrated...
I hear what you're saying about not being a fan of the marble/chandeliers, because its just not my style either.
BUT
There are many girls here that LOVE that! Poor word choice, but I catch your drift.
That's why I chose Fox Hollow. The room I chose feels more like an estate than a catering hall...
keep looking. I saw 14 halls before choosing mine.

Re: So frustrated...
Sorry to crash your board, but I got married in a winery, and it was definitely more casual and laid-back than the catering halls. It's on the expensive side, but it might be worth looking into if you're interested. I got married at Raphael in the North Fork of Long Island. There are other wineries that do weddings, like Martha Clara, Pellegrini, Castello di Borghese. You can check out http://www.liwines.com for more information. Feel free to send me a forum mail me if you have any questions. Good luck!!

The price will go down about $40 per person if you do it in the off season which is the third week of October until the end of April based on 125 guests

well IMO, there are plenty of non 'marble and chandelier' RH's that will fit your budget. You just have to keep looking, however, I will say that your 'vomit' comment took me back. Yes it is totally your opinion, but alot of girls including myself actually do like that stuff and are having their halls at places that are filled with it, such as my own.

I agree with the girls here... if you don't like certain RH then by all means - check out other places....
yes we all are entitled to our opinions yes - but we need to express them politely - I see you are pretty new to the boards - and politeness is a biggie for us!!
I hope you find everything you are looking for!

I know how you feel. I looked at 18 places. I was the same way in which I didn't want the big chandaliers, etc. and I loved the Crescent Beach Club because it was different, unfortuately my dad and FH did not like it. You can definitely work them to get them to lower it if you are flexible with your date. I ended up booking in New Jersey and too be honest spending a lot more than I wanted. What about trying to look at old manors/mansions?

I think everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, like you said the world is not one size fits all and for those of us who do have marble floors and chandeliers you made me think to myself that I hope there is no one with your taste at my wedding. Bc otherwise I might need barfbags as favors. Not too classy
