So frustrated and upset about...

Today my mom and i spent a good 4-5 hrs going from one bridal place to another to look for a dress for her. She isn't a size 12 so very few, i mean like 2, she was able to try on. She fell in love with a couple dresses but it a little hestitant about purchasing a dress that she can't try on..Anyone know of bridal salons that have MOB dresses for moms who are not a size 12?
Already went to Macy's, Bridal reflections and Bridal suite of patchogue..

HELP!!!

I had this problem with my sister dress. All i can say is go to Davids bridal and even if you dont want to buy the dresss from ther at leasty she can get a feel for teh styles. Thats what we did and we ordered it from somewhere else. Good Luck

Definatly try Estelles dressy dresses!!! they have a lot of dresses, in sizes from 0-28W

I had problems like this with my BM dresses. I agree with Bride04. GO to Davids see/try on different styles and if you like the style go somewhere else to get a similar cut dress.

Lord and Taylor has beautiful plus size dresses...they are usually upstairs, across from teh petite section , which I think is rude, but they do have a pretty decent selesction!!!!!

I'm confused - when you say she isn't a size 12 do you mean she's bigger or smaller?

My mom is tiny, we bought her a BM dress, but it's gorgeous on her.

My mom got her dress there for my brother's wedding and I think she will be getting one there for mine.

You can buy off the rack or order something if they don't have your size/color and the dresses went up to Woman's sizes (W18, W20) etc.

I know they carry Montage and I think they had Cameron Blake and Junnie Leigh.

Another vote for Estelle's!!! I went to a wedding of a close friend whose mom is very large (not meant to offend, just no other way to describe her) and she got a gorgeous outfit from them!!

I had the same problem with my mom. She was feeling a little upset because of the small sizes, but we went to RK bridal in the City and they have a great selection of plus sizes 18-28 and she found one that was perfect. I would definitely try them because we had the same problem you did. Good luck!
