I can't stand it!!! I will go to update my registry on Fortunoff and find that aside from items being on backorder now I have a bunch of items that can no longer be ordered online! I am so frustrated with this...

Isn't Fortunoffs going through Chapter 11...or isn't someone going to buy them out?
Perhaps that is why they are not ordering merchandise?

I don't want to change it because I feel like i went through so much to just decide 1/2 the stuff I put on my registry. The stuff on backorder I am not as worried about because my shower probably won't be till the summer at some point, but the stuff you can't order online anymore that really irks me because some people order online because they can't get there, it is just an inconvenience I don't want to give my friends and family. I might have to reconsider this after all.

A lot of people mentiond the problems with Fortunoff. Why dont you print your list, take it to BBB and tell them you are considering switching it over and ask them to do that for you. I'm sure they would be more than happy to enter it in for you.

Lord & Taylor bought them and they are actually in the process of re-vamping them and expanding. If your wedding was within a month or two I would say change but since you have time I wouldn't worry. All the kinks should be worked out hopefully soon. I'm registered at Fortunoffs & Macy's and I've been checking everyday and slowly things that were backordered over the past couple of days now say in stock. If stuff is discontinued I'm sure I'll end up with gift cards then I can pick whatever I want so either way I'm not concerned

i think you'll stress a lot less by just re-registering elsewhere. if this keeps happening you'll just be freaked out for the next 7 months until your wedding. better off taking the time to register somewhere else, IMO.
