So get this crap....

I had a appt with a MAC artist at Roosevelt Field. I get there, and she goes to work. When I ask her the rates for the day of, she tells me $400 for the bride and $200 for the BMs!!! So I'm thinking to myself okay for that amount of money you better make me look like Salma Hayek or something. When she finished, I wanted to scream. My eyebrows she penciled in too thick, the eyeshadow was dark and purple (this after my telling her I wanted brown and peach neutrals) and she put mascara on my lower lashes which made me look like a raccoon. She also proceeded to put bright pink lipstick on me, which is completely not my color. I told her these things, and she just didn't care.

So I go to FH who is in After Hours buying a tux, and he looks at me and says 'What the hell did they do to you?' I said I didn't know, but it sure as hell was not worth paying $50 for let alone $400!! The makeup didn't look remotely normal until I wiped off half the eye makeup. Even now, 6 hours later, the mascara has smudged under my eyes and make me look like I haven't slept.

So in conclusion, I am better off just paying $160 for my MOH to get her hair and makeup done in order to meet the minimum than to look elsewhere.

i once had my make up done at a mac counter....someone dh knew worked there. she mde look like a clown

I personally have never liked what they do at MAC...its a little freakish...sorry Janna What nerve charging that!

That is exactly the reason why I haven't had a make-up trial yet.

I'm sorry that happened to you Janna. $400 is insane!

Maybe what you are doing is paying for ALL the makeup she uses up for a face!!!

THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH MONEY.... ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PERSON ISN'T EVEN LISTENING TO YOUR WANTS !!!

Part of being good at what you do is listening!! and obviously she isn't good at that either!

I had my makeup done by a MAC person for my wedding and it was $100, not $400!!! Also, my person did an awesome job!
Definitely go somewhere else!
