has anyone else had their makeup done expecting to have disposable applicators used..only to have the actual lipstick or lip gloss stick used on your mouth...I'm I the only that is so grossed out by that...

Ew, I'm grossed out by that! I'm a germ freak, I wash my hands frequently and when I can't, I use hand sanitizer. I haven't had a makeup trial or had anyone ever do my makeup but that is gross!

thank you...I thought it was just me...I know I am a germ freak as well and I almost jump out of the chair when this was done....it bothered my enough when they put mascara on me using the actual applicator in the tube...but the lipstick was the last straw.....I so afraid to have my makeup done again....but I guess now I know to say something before hand....

That's gross.
When you do make-up they are suppose to use disposable lipstick brushes and mascara wands. As for the brushes they use on your eyes and cheeks they are to be washed with warm water and soap and then sprayed with rubbing alcohol. that is what i was taught in boces for cosmetogoly.

OMG! That happened to me too! My first trial, the girl used the lipstick wand AND the mascara wand, and not disposables. I was SOO grossed out, I washed off my makeup right away.
