So here's what happened...

Original post by Relish21

My friend got engaged last week. I've been engaged since October. She and I are not bridesmaids in each others weddings but we've gone on vaca together once. Went to HS together etc... we're not super super close but we're def. good friends.... she wants to book her wedding the Saturday after mine. Which in theory would be the day I fly home from my honeymoon, unless we go 2 weeks later. Should I be cool with this? I can't decide if I should be upset or not.

Let it go. She hasn't made anyyy definite plans...wait it out and see what happens. Then if it really is inconvenient, you could say something.

She has her right to plan the wedding whenever she wants; we do not own the month or year we get married. Sorry.

It's just kind of insensitive on her part. What if you wanted to do a 2 week HM, it seems like she's not even concerned if you're there or not. I would just tactfully say something.

I don't want to miss the wedding.... that's the thing. If I didn't care I wouldn't be asking for feedback. We weren't gonna have a 2 week honeymoon anyway but it's just gonna be a chaotic day. Yes, it would have been nice if she pushed it back a week or 2. But.... dates book up and she's in a hurry to get married in 10 months.

So :: shrugs:: what can I do. I just hope there are no flight delays and we get off that ship quickly!!

Thanks for the feedback girls!

Dont be mad. Thats how I would feel.

You make it, great. You dont great.

I think this falls under the category of 'it is what it is'.
