So, how soon after you got engaged..

Did you start planning the wedding? We got engaged on 12/25 last year (oh, so a year tomorrow ) and we started planning on 12/26! Well my mom and I did!

We got engaged November 26th. We decided to take the holidays off and enjoy being engaged. We started planning in about January/February though of course I picked up magazines and started looking at wedding dresses online directly after the proposal. LOL!

Pretty much after 6 months I actually started...and I don't even know that I have done all that much and now I'm engaged 8 months.......

We started looking at RHs about a month after getting engaged. I started reading all of the bridal magazines about an hour after though!

i got engaged at 5am on 4/5/08 and i was at my first RH at 12pm on 4/5/08

I got engaged 8/15/08- I wanted to start planning right after but FMIL got really sick about a week later (she went into cardiac arrest and was on a ventaltor for 2 weeks) so I didnt start till Oct. '08

dude... i knew which BM dress i was using in like January... cause thats when I THOUGHT we were getting engaged... lol... i didnt get engaged till June... but i knew... and i knew what color too! LOL

I really procrastinated...At first the thought of eloping crossed my mind (because I hate planning stuff in general) but then my parents would have a fit. So although we got engaged in September 2008, I didn't really start to seriously plan until a year later (Aug/Sept. 2009). I moved into FH's house in Oct. 2008 because we wanted to live together first to make sure we could get along in close quarters!

I didn;'t book the RH until mid September 2009 and the other vendors followed until now (just booked DJ last week).

about a week later I started looking at places in Israel online, here and there. then a month later everybody turned on me and decided to have it here, so once that decision was made I just switched the location of search to Westchester.

so does that make a week or a month?
