so, yeah i dont think in a perfect world its better than having something tangable like say umm a coach bag, HOWEVER, i know for a fact they were all gonna get their hair done, i checked this out first. Im sure they werent gonna get their makeup done so i wouldve gotten them something in addition to paying for their hair but to be completely honestl, i have to pay for a minimum for my makeup person anyway and so i figured i would just add on two more girls to that and pay for their makeup. Although they may not have done this in the first place, i think they will appreciate it.
Also, i know this doesnt hold true for all situations but all of my girls have pretty good jobs but definately dont have a lot extra money lying around so i figured that i would save them money like this.

If they were getting this done then i change my vote. It is a great gift!!!
I was just unsure if they wanted it in the first place.

I personally think its great, it would be one less thing that I have to pay for
I'm paying for my girls makeup (which they don't know about yet) and then I'm also getting them other stuff
I am not requiring my girls to wear any certain hair or makeup - they are on their own. I'm sure they'd rather have a coach wallet and be able to do what they want with their hair and makeup based on what they can afford...

I don't think its a gift for them when its something for YOUR wedding.
Just my opinion, I do think its nice if you can afford it, but not as the only gift.

Honestly? I'm going to go against the majority here. To me, that's more a gift for YOU, not your BM's.
Whenever I'm asked to be a BM, I automatically assume I will cover my own costs for dress, hair, makeup, shoes, etc.
Now, if you can do it in addition to something tangible (even if it's small), I say go for it. But I wouldn't do it as their only gift, because, well I don't really think of that as a gift when it's really something for you and your wedding. JMO.

i am paying for the make up for my girls and then getting them a keep-sake gift as well.
Same here, except one of mine doesn't want her makeup done so I have to figure something else out for her. She's MOH though, so i'd get her something a little more anyway (even though she's not helping me at all)

financially yes its a great idea, but personally id like something to have as a reminder of your wedding that when i look it at ill smile (geez im aloser) maybe you can get them cute frames with a pic of you and your bm in it as a little extra

I think this is a great gift. Personally, I would rather have an expense paid than get a piece of jewelry or a bag.

All my girls are on their own as far as hair and make up - some are going professional, some are not... besides the fact that i have 9 girls...
but i think its a great idea, it takes some pressure off the BM's to pay for it...

im going to be a bm in fsil wedding next year. if she paid for my hair and makeup i guess i would be ok with it. i mean, thats one less thing i need to pay for buttttttttt as a bride i wouldnt do that to my girls. i want to take the time to get them something nice/special.

overall its a great gift but it also depends on your BMs and how they are with hair and makeup. Do they like to do it themselves? are they really girly? I know one of my BMs likes to do her own makeup and hair... etc. good luck!

I know there are girls who want to get it done and might not be able to afford it. My BM hates getting her hair and make up done and does a better job herself so for her, I know she wouldnt appreciate it.
