Wow I cant believe how rude people can be. I have a friend who cant come to my wedding- she said her husbands grandmother is sick and that she is in Florida. Ok fine I obviously understand. She said she got down to Florida today to be with her. I received her response card back about a month ago but wanted to follow-up that she was still coming...considering she cancalled last minute on the shower. I never heard back from her until about 2 weeks after I first contacted her. So I feel bad that she is going through all this so I call over to her work today and say to the woman on the phone...that I know my friend is in Florida but I wanted to arrange to get her some flowers for when she returns. Well guess what??? She isn't in Florida! She said she was right there and transferred me to her desk and she sounded quite cheery. I was in such shock and so hurt that I just hung up the phone. I emailed her and she said she isnt at work (meanwhile the lady just told me she is) so thats another lie and that she must have transferred the call to her cell phone. This isnt a close friend...this is a girl that I used to work with that I have stayed in contact with. Talk about not knowing someone!!! So she is still trying to say that she isnt at work but I dont believe a world out of her mouth. Anyway- I'm not going to let it ruin my day but it just goes to show you - you cant trust anyone and I thought she was a really nice person. Wow was I wrong!!!

Wow!....She is such a loser to make up a stupid lie like that. If she doesnt want to go she could have just said that she couldnt make, but to lie, thats just dumb.

Yea I mean the worst part is that she is still trying to tell me that she isnt at work!! It's like why cant you just admit that I caught you in the lie and be truthful. If you didnt want to come to my wedding then you could have told me a month ago and not 2 days before my wedding. I am definitely not going to let it ruin my day...but I think I am just still in disbelief and shock lol.

Sounds like someone that needs to be kicked straight to the curb!!
i wouldn't bother with this person anymore. She isn't a real friend to you apparantly. Sorry you had to find out like this. Cut her loose.

Thanks I totally agree with you! She is definitely not a real friend...it sux that I had to find out this way...but better late than never.
