So i cut off the loud mouth-disrespectful cousin. Did I make the right decision?

I felt very guilty for cutting out my cousin from my wedding party but at the same time I feel a great weight lifted off my shoulders. She isn't very nice to me and is the trouble maker in the family. I can't seem to tolerate her. I mean when I say she is rude, she is over the top. I am very patient with people but she can def. piss you off. Not only is she a fire starter, she is the relative that gossips about everyone in such severe circumstances. I recently confronted her about her behavior and she damned me to hell and cursed me out. She said awful things left on a voicemail message that I have saved. My question to you is, did you have to experience something like this?

I have never had that type of problem and Im sorry you are going thru it but if she is that mean then I don't feel she deserves to be a part of your wedding

Thank you so much! It does suck. I mean, I am pretty much over it. I am happy with my decision, I just hope the rest of my extended family, like her parents and her sister understands where I am coming from

Its a crappy situation espec when its family but if you leave her in it shes just going to cause you more stress and heartache and you dont need that. This is a HAPPY time and yes there will be stress its normal but not dealing with a Rude person like that!! If the family doesnt understand where you are coming from then they are all blind... Ultimatley its your choice and I would have done the same thing.

You absolutely did the right thing. I have a friend who went through the same kind of thing with her cousin, and it was the best decision she ever made. I'm sure her family will understand, they must know how crazy she is!

seriously good riddance! trust me. everyone knows she's a problem. dont feel bad one bit. keep that voicemail and if anyone complains say , 'would you like to hear WHY?'

It had to suck to be in that position but good for you to give the boot if that's how your cousin is they didn't deserve to be part anyway. I know it sucks I kicked my cousin out too but for a different reason

That's tough and I know how you feel. My FH's sisters (will be tough to call them SILs) are super mean and rude. I have a hard time even going to visit them bc i feel so unwelcomed. I really don't want them in my BP and spoke to my FH about it and he says I don't have to. They're 9 and 11 years older than me and act like I'm a child! I'm 26 and my FH is 27! UGH! Just know you're not alone and don't forget, it's your day!!

Thanks ladies! I am happy with my decision and I think it was the best one to make for everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. Just like you and the people you know, i did what was right and moved on! xo
