To make sure the hotel we are going to on our honeymoon doesn't use feather pillows or feather beds....and she called me back and said that is all they have! They don't have an option for regular pillows! She kind of laughed at me when I said I wanted to call them myself and said 'what do you want them to do buy a new mattress for you?' which I thought was rude, I just want to see if they can accomodate me, since we spent a lot of $$$ for this trip!
Oh, I am highly allergic to feathers...LOL...
Just wanted to vent.....

I don't see why your TA or you can't call them and ask if they can accommodate you - I mean, if you're allergic, you can't sleep on feather pillows or mattress so why stay there? she really shouldn't have laughed it off - this is serious!
I would call the place and ask them - see what they say.

I have the same problem so I always take those plastic bed protectors. I find that they work better than the allergin covers which are made from cotton. I also bring my own pillow

id def call the hotel yourself! My mom had clients and she called the hotel and they told her no prob they give them foam pillows! No reason for this lady to make jokes! Thats all you need end up in the hosp on your HM over something that can be fixed easily?!

i'd say screw the travel agent and do it yourself - she obviously doesn't want to do her job the way she should. there has to be a way they can accomodate you either by getting a plastic cover for the bed or a cot or something at the VERY least. just to be safe though, when you do go bring your own pillow no matter what the outcome of this conversation is.
