so i figured i'd share...DIY's!!

just a FYI, stringing your own crystals is a major PIA! buy them put together if you can haha.

i'm using them for a birdcage but i was playing around with some curly willow i had. (i'm not using that though)

(please don't mind the uber mess in my closet )

very nice!!! i anticipate the PIA that it will be to string all my crystals together...

but alyssa, can u tell me how u start and end each strand?? i dont know how to get the first crystal to stay, and how to get the strand of crystals when completed to be closed/finished off? like so the crystals dont fall off

im clueless!!!

and how do u know what gauge wire to use??

i had so much wire/line and went through them all. i found 1 that worked and it is Darice's Nylon Monofilament 8 lb test line.

cut 1 really long strand of the line, knot it a few times on one end, cut the bottom of the other end so you now have 2 strands. where the knot is, it could either be the top or the bottom so that's where the 1st bead is going to go.

i personally have a small bead 1st, then the larger that has the 2 holes. this is going to sound so confusing but put both strands through the little guy 1st, then put 1 strand through 1 hole on the large guy, and then the other strand through the same hole but on the opposite side. repeat, repeat repeat. i wish i could show you b/c it took quite a bit fr me to understand it
