So, I finally looked at dresses last nite..........

So, I finally looked at dresses last nite..........

and I didnt find the 'one' but I also didnt feel it was as fun as it should of been. Like, the excitement wasnt really there.
My mom and sister were with me and I felt that they couldnt cared much either. I feel like the excitement of marriage is gone since my sister (who is younger) is married already.

Who knows, maybe it was me too since Im wasnt too prepared...last min since I had to be sized for a BM dress and figured Im here....lets start.

I hope the next time will be a little better

aww, soo sorry. Maybe you could go with some girlfriends who will be extremely supportive. Also, you have to go to many places to find the one.!

Don't be sad...The excitement should still be there considering it is your wedding...But considering you didn't anticipate trying dresses on, you weren't prepared...When I first tried dresses on, I was excited but I found it to be more work then anything...When you find 'the one' you will be excited! Give it another try

i'm sorry you didn't have fun. if it makes u feel a lil better, i didn't enjoy my first dress shopping either. not that i wasn't prepared, just cause i was so nervous and had no idea what to expect. My second time out, i had a blast and found the 'one'.

hang in there, you will find it when you least expected.
Can you believe I never went to try dresses?
I just didn't feel that rush or excitement, but when I saw my dress online, I knew that was it.
When I finally got to wear it, it just made me love my dress even more.

Sorry you didn't have a great time! I think if you go more prepared next time and it's not last minute that you'll enjoy it more. You'll make an appt and the anticipation will build up and after doing your 'homework' you'll have a better time trying dresses on. Don't worry, once you fine 'the one' you'll get all excited and giddy like a lil school girl!!

Actually the saleslady was nice and kept saying, Hello...attention on the Bride!
If anything, she was more excited!

Awww.. I wasn't prepared either. Needless to say, the excitement wasnt there for me when I tried on dresses because I had absolutely no intention on buying ANYTHING!!! ( MY MOH dragged me to a trunk show... it was wayyy to early to shop for a dress ) My mom wasn't event there with me, but I ended up ordering the dress. Never in my life have I ever been so sure about something I purchased 'on impulse' The more I look at my dress, the more I absolutely LOVE it. Go with girlfriends who are just as excited about your wedding as you are. Trust me, it will make a BIG difference.!!!

I agree. I thought I would never find the 'One' but when I did I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling. I also did not want to take off the dress. I just kept looking at myself in the mirror. Don't worry you will find your dress.
