So I got impatient & used Loreal Feria- help

Hi ladies what should I do? My hair is a bit dry and yucky on the ends-

I always get my color done semi perm but felt I needed a bit more coverage and now AAAAHHH
I want to make sure I have good hair for the wedding-

Aside from getting a trim - what do you recommend?

I blow my hair straight religiously or else I feel like a chia pet-

Help

You can try using a hot oil treatment. Or Garnier Fructise makes this conditioning treatment, that works pretty good.

Start using large rollers insteead of blow drying....that is the #1 problem... I have extremely curly hair that is pretty damaged & since I have been setting it it is shiny & less breakage.

2nd....step away from the feria...it is a very drying color. Try Garnier Nutrisse instead. It is better for dry/damaged hair.

3rd...do a weekly conditioning mask - religiously. if you go to a Sally Beauty Supply, there are a ton to choose from. I like Redken Smooth Down & Loreal's new color line.

I do this also. I have extemely curly hair and I set it w/ rollers or get it set at the salon. My hait is so much healthier since.

What do you set it with? Velcro rollers? Hot rollers? When I set my hair ( velcro rollers) & also usually use the blower dryer to set it with heat, otherwise not much happens, but that's probably just as damaging.

nope, I use 'Big Curls' by conair...they are heated velvet rollers. It works best if your hair is alreasy almost dry, so I wash my hair the night before & then set it first thing in the morning. It takes me about 15 minutes to set it, after 5 minutes of heating up the rollers...I use about 6 rollers for my whole head, and I let them set for 1/2 hour. I unroll them & then just run my fingers through my hair.

Personally, I find the velcro rollers do better for 'styling' your hair, not for everyday wear.

Ooh-velvet!
thanks- I don't have curly hair like you, I have limp easily breakable hair with a slight, uneven bend.

I need curlers or a blow dryer or something to make it fuller, but that's usually what breaks it!( sometimes the velcro gets stuck!)

Thanks so much! I think I'll see if I can find those Conair ones!)

ETA: 50 Minutes is a lot of hair time for a workday, I onlt get up an hour before I have to leave, but I may try it for weekends!

and in re: to the original question. . that Fructisse treatment is good as is the Aussie 3 minute miracle.

thanks girls- I am making an appointment now for a trim and will go by some leavins and treatments.

I will give the rollers a shot but do they pull the curl out from your roots?
My hair is Julianna Marguilles curly

The rollers do straighten with lift from the roots....no curl, and no frizz, just body
