'and guest' RSVP when the person wasn't invited with a guest It's my dad's cousin. I have to discuss this with my dad now. Technically I could let it go, because I have other people RSVP'ing no. But it's the principle.

Im not looking forward to it... I havent sent invites yet but ive had a few people ask me if they can bring and extra guest - oh and I saw someone on facebook ask someone else if they wanted to visit in july so that they could go to my wedding!

Im my case, I'm more concerned about my budget than anything else. All my friends know eachother so I don't see anything wrong with sitting them together at a table. Most of them are single anyway so why would I want to pay for them to bring some random person to the wedding. If I had extra money than I would but seeing as though I don't they are invited without a guest.

Excuse you!! I invited a few people with no guests! I don't think anything is wrong with that unless you are balling and money isn't a problem!!

I had a coworker that brought her friend with her bc she didn't want to go to a wedding alone. Mind you, this was a girl, not a date. She was invited alone. How freaking rude is that?

Have fun with that... I had about 20 people at my wedding who were added to cards when I didn't invite them. I only let it slide because we had a lot more no's than we anticipated.

I've been to plenty of weddings alone - when I was single, if it was a close friend or family, I preferred going by myself - I didn't want to worry about some semi random person's evening. I just wanted to have fun.

In theory,it's great to invite everyone with a guest. But,in reality, when dealing with headcounts and dollars and cents, it doesn't always work out that way.

Our rule of thumb was that if someone was in a serious relationship, they were invited with that person. Also, if the person was going to be traveling a long distance and/or would not know anyone else at the wedding, they were invited with a guest. Otherwise, the single people were invited stag.

It worked out fine and to the best of my knowledge, the single people all had a good time and were not offended that they didn't get the +1 on their invites.

I did have one person try to invite her children to the wedding, but that's a separate issue!

Oh no!!! Hopefully all will work out!

Nothing beats a co-workers wedding I went to when 5 people showed up uninvited and one even brought their 'pastor'.
Apparently the bride didn't invite part of the family for some reason known to the family, but they heard and showed up anyway day of.. No warning at all!
