'and guest' RSVP when the person wasn't invited with a guest It's my dad's cousin. I have to discuss this with my dad now. Technically I could let it go, because I have other people RSVP'ing no. But it's the principle.

Some people are not being invited with a guest.
This person in particular, is widowed, around 70 years old, and will be sitting with her brother, her daughter, and her own cousins. It's not like she won't know anyone.
Update for the rest of the girls - I spoke to my father and of course he thinks I should let it go. He doesn't understand the 'what I do for one, I must do for all' concept.......but he's on my shiit list right now anyway for other reasons......

Excuse you!! I invited a few people with no guests! I don't think anything is wrong with that unless you are balling and money isn't a problem!!

Im my case, I'm more concerned about my budget than anything else. All my friends know eachother so I don't see anything wrong with sitting them together at a table. Most of them are single anyway so why would I want to pay for them to bring some random person to the wedding. If I had extra money than I would but seeing as though I don't they are invited without a guest.
ITA. if i have a single friend, i really don't need her to bring a random dude who means nothing to me or to her. my parents are generously paying for the entire wedding and for the venue alone it is costing just under $500pp, so i completely agree that pple don't need to bring guests. and my friends are fine with it bc they're sitting with friends who they can party it up with all night.
