...for my breast reduction Well not technically a bill, but one of those Explanation of Benefits letters. Stony Brook Hospital charged $19,297 for my operating room and recovery (I was in/out the same day, about 12 hours) and my surgeon charged $14,721 for his part
I can't believe they charged my insurance over $30,000 for a breast reduction! And they paid it out without a problem!!! When I thought I was gonna have to pay for it out of pocket, the DRs were telling me around $10,000...So glad I have that insurance
Why can my friend get boobs for $6,000 and my reduction cost as much as a cheap Benz??

wow...that is a lot of $$... drs and hospital fees are rediculous IMO a reduction is actually a much more difficult procedure than implants...you are removing tissue which is much more invasive and requires more precision than implants do.
thank god for health insurance!!
