So I just got a text from FH....I need an opinion

One of his friends, a girl, who has gotten into trouble on and off for the past few years is looking to rent an apartment. FH said he would do some online research for her and let her know what he finds. Well, he came up with the bright idea of having her rent one of our bedrooms (we have 3).

I feel bad because she needs a place to live but at the same time, do I want a girl with a troubling past in my house? I feel like I'm being a b*tch for not wanting this

Am I wrong?

If someone cried to DH that they didn't have rent money, I swear he'd offer to let her pawn his wedding band to pay for it.

honestly, i understand that ur FH is tryin to do something nice, but personally, that would not be ok with me. she has a troubled past, and who know what other trouble might happen. you wouldnt wanna be involved in that or have to deal with it in any way. im sure she'll be able to find another apt to live in. Just my honest opinion........

no i would definatley not consider. i have such a big heart for people in bad situations but it should never compromise your well being/happiness and i could see how this could easily be an issue...plus what if she didnt want to leave!!!

i agree with you... even if she's a friend, there has to be a line of separation... if she's a troublemaker, i wouldn't put you and fh in a situation with her. jmo.

i'd say no, only because I have my trust issues... I don't know this girls situation or history... but I wouldn't jeopardize anything for anyone.

No, not at all. The only thing is, if another friend comes around looking for a place and you say yes to them, that might hurt this girls feelings. So, to be fair, we've said no to everyone who has asked to move in with us and there's been 3 of them.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT HAVE THIS GIRL MOVE INTO YOUR HOME!!! It will be the biggest mistake you will ever make.

1. You will have no privacy - she will know everything you do and I mean everything.
2. Do you really want another woman walking around your house in various stages of dress and undress. I am sure you FH is wonderful, but please take it from experience, men will be men.

With that I repeat myself DO NOT LET HER MOVE INTO YOUR HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Make an office out of the extra bedroom or a video room.

You're definitely NOT being a B****. You have a right to protect you, FH and your home from any and everything negative. Not to be mean, but her problems are HER problems and there is no reason to invite that into your home.

we had 2 roomates with us when we 1st purchased the palce cuz we were sooooooooo broke..and we arent speaking to either of them!!!!!!!!!! fh and i broke up cuz of 1 of them ( both roomates were male)

but yea.. DEF DO NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTT even consider it. trust me

Don't do it!! You are not wrong. You dont want her living in your house then casuing trouble for you!! Next thing you know she comes to live with you and becomes a pain in the a$$ and then you can't get her to move out!!
