So I said this could be a possibility....

but I think FH and I definitely decided to change the date, maybe even push it back a year. I start teaching in September and I am sooooooooooooooo excited that I really just want to only deal with that and getting my Masters. I don't think I can handle a wedding too. So we're thinking maybe summertime 09 or early 2010. We're definitely staying with WM, our other vendors are being very flexible, so nothing else has changed!

I am soooo not bummed about this, in fact, I'm happy! I just want to concentrate on finally starting my career!

We ended up pushing ours back 7 months. At first we were really bummed and again when the original wedding date passed, but in hindsight its for the best. Its not like you are calling it off all together. First year teaching and planning a wedding is stressful on their own accounts, doing both would drive you insane! Everything will work out for the best.

heather-im soo happy you got a teaching job! Believe me-getting an actual career is a big deal and now think of it this way-even if you push back the wedding you'll have extra money to spend on it haha

Everyone has different priorities- it always makes sense to stick with them. So, if you don't feel bad about it that means you are doing the right thing!

We pushed our back 1 year originally we were going to do May 08, but FH was in between jobs and we were waiting for something to come through. So May 09 it is!

Thats great! I totally agree with having yoru own career & getting that in order. You guys will be fine & your wedding will be even more wonderful because you can enjoy it more. GOOD LUCK!

As a first teacher I can definitely say you are making the best choice!! Iit will be hard enough adjsting without havng to worry about the wedding!
