It was fun! I really didn't want to take it off. But I have this nagging feeling that the dress is just sorta...I dunno. Nice but not stunning on me. I know, I'm being stupid.
ETA: I wore the slip I got on ebay to see if it was the right fullness, and I also tried my jewelry and shoes!

OMG My heart sank at first! Whew, I'm glad you changed your mind!!
It is super simple...and I always knew I was meant for simple. But it's worrying me for some reason...
In a strange way, I wouldn't have minded someone to say, you know what Tara, it's not all that special. Look elsewhere. I don't mind honesty! part of me thinks, sheesh maybe I shoulda ordered that other dress!
But then when I think of myself in the other dress, I feel like a fool. I'm just not meant to wear a big, flashy gown. I feel silly in it. It makes me feel like I'm in a show...and I've done lots of shows and worn huge gowns and such. I guess being an actress all those years made me not wanna feel like I was wearing a costume for my big day!
Sorry about that first part of my post! Seriously though, you TOTALLY picked the right dress! I love it on you. It's very flattering, but it also stands out.
I was totally when I read that you liked your dress when you sat down - it DOES look good - but I was laughing because that was one of the things that sold me on MY dress and I thought I was so weird for thinking that! Guess not so much

I don't think it's boring! I perfer simple dresses (check mine out in my album). My biggest problem shopping for a dress was finding a gown simple enough for my taste. You did not get the full picture b/c your hair and makeup weren't done, no headpiece etc.
You are going to look amazing!
Don't second guess yourself!

I think it's so classic & elegant- you will be stunning in it!! It doesn't need to be covered in beading or embroidery to be the right dress for YOU!

You know what's so great about this site? We know we are not alone!! We all go and visit our samples one too many times...and we worry about how we look in our dresses when we sit down!! I totally went there planning on seeing how it looked when I sat down, cuz I knew the slip could totally change things.
Although I wonder if I could go fuller with a slip..ugh I am outta my mind!

Snickers, thanks so much for supporting the 'simple' theory! I always knew I'd want a simple dress...I used to admire the very simple, almost no detail sheath dresses that Jim Hjelm makes. Ugh I just have to be patient and wait til the whole look comes together.

I love how the dress looks on you. We were just discussing this earlier too remember because your dress was my second choice dress...LOL. It looks really great on you. You made a good choice. We will always second guess ourselves but don't because you look beautiful and you picked an awesome dress. Don't worry so much!
