that i should probably tell you guys i'm planning a commitment ceremony.. although i still consider it a wedding.

i almost started referring to my girlfriend as my FH.. that's when i was like WOW i really need to come clean!

My FSIL is planning a big white wedding too and her ceremony is a commitment ceremony but we consider it a wedding, just like everyone elses!

I figured that out, not being mean or anything..... my sister is going to do the samething when she is done with nursing school.... she'll be my MOH and her girlfriend will be in the wedding as well!!! Hey it is what you want and what will make YOU happy and that is all that matters! Love is love no matter who it is with.....

If I'm not mistaken, NY is not one of the states that recognizes same-sex marriage. I'm OOT, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If you haven't done so already, please consider contacting a family law attorney who will set up the proper documentation regarding power of attorney, wills, etc.

I think that's awsome! My minister I guess she's called that......anyways she's marrying my fiance and me......she does commitment ceremonies. That's the main reason we picked her b/c she's liberal like we are. Rich's brothers is gay, and our condo building is filled with our gay friends! Of course people will still talk to you Anyway......I just registered tonight,so you'll have to keep in touch!

Your wedding is still a wedding in my eyes. Hopefully, it will be legally recognized soon. Right now, all that matters is that you two recognize it!
