I totally agree with that. I don't understand why some people seem to think that allowing gays to get legally married will somehow 'demean' their marriages. What does someone else's marriage have to do with yours? I don't get it. I'm married now myself and I still don't get it, so it's not about being married or not. What I really think it is, they're afraid that if gays are legally married just like them, they can't feel superior to them anymore. Which makes me want to say, get over yourself!! You're not that special.

Marriage is about two people wanting to make a true commitment to one another. Not that many years ago inter-racial marriages were illegal in this country. Can you imagine that being a law, now? I'm hoping that in twenty or so years the new generation will think the same way about gay marriage--that they can't believe that some people objected.

I figured because I always look at peoples profiles. Like others have said, Marriage is about 2 people that love each other. Congratulations to you and your fiance!

I can only say CONGRATULATION!!! it's the day that you will celebrate the love you have for each other and that is the most important thing....not a lot of people are lucky enough to have someone to love and to be love, you have someone so celebrate and enjoy every moment..... and keep posting!!!!!

I don't want this to come off the wrong way but I figured that out a while ago! I think it's amazing that you have found someone to commit yourself to and love is love no matter what, you don't need to feel like you should 'come clean'.

Guess what? YOU GUYS ARE GETTING MARRIED AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED! I think it's awesome and I can't wait for the day that you guys can enjoy the same legal rights as the rest of us - because there is no difference in the love you have for your GF from the love the rest of us have for our fiancees!

Congratulations! I think a commitment ceremony is still a wedding - FH and I are getting married outside the church so to some that isn't a real wedding - but it's real to us and that's all that really matters

Lol, I love how the cat is okay though. Personally, my rule is as long as they’re of the same species…I could have sworn I once read about a German woman who married a tree so maybe I’m just old-fashioned and not with the times

I personally am not a cat person, so I don't get it - but i'm a BIG TIME DOG person...so i had to go for equal rights..

Aw, Im sorry that you felt you had to 'come clean'....love is love no matter how you put it, and we all get to celebrate it in the same way, even if our stupid legal system doesn't think so yet! Your wedding will be beautiful and as long as you two are celebrating your love with all of your friends and family, thats all that matters!
