that i should probably tell you guys i'm planning a commitment ceremony.. although i still consider it a wedding.
i know most of you probably don't care.. and i usually don't broadcast my business, but i feel like i'm keeping it a secret if i don't tell you!
i almost started referring to my girlfriend as my FH.. that's when i was like WOW i really need to come clean!

I'm sorry that you felt like you had to 'come clean' ... it's not like it's a dirty secret you were hiding. You're still getting married to someone you love. You should consider it a wedding. Congratulations!

Ii's OK, a wedding's a wedding, even if it's not legal right now. (Which I think should be changed--if two people want to be married, more power to them.)

Thanks for being honest, I would still consider it a wedding. MY definition is a commitment 2 people make to one another, no matter what sexes anyone is. Glad you feel comfortable enough to 'come clean'

congratuations!!! i think that is wonderful. youre celebrating your love, the same as all of us. i would hope everyone would continue to want your valuable input is your family supportive?

Oh, that’s what I always just figured! I tend to look at the user pics a lot so I can remember who posted what and all that, so yeah. As long as you are marrying the person you love, it’s a wedding!

a wedding is a wedding, no matter who is getting married. if you love your girlfriend, then congrats to you on your engagement and impending marriage!!!
and not to be controversial, but i hate the idea of 'civil unions' etc. - people should be allowed to marry whoever they want - and call it a marriage!!

Congratulations!!! In my eyes it is still a wedding. The 2 of you want to commit to each other which means you obviously love one another so it is a Marriage. I am sure you are going through all of the same stress, fun, anxiety, frustration and excitement we all are so keep on posting!!!!!

Congratulations!! I was wondering if you have found a pastor yet?? Pastor April from the Church of ancient ways is awesome and has the greatest commitment ceremony certificates!
All of us here are in the same boat...going crazy putting together the party of our lives, it doesn't matter who you are marrying, we are all in this together! You are having a wedding and you should be able to call it such without having to hide behind 'commitmet ceremony', it makes me so mad! I only hope that one day someone in this darn country gets over themselves and realizes that everyone deserves the same rights!
