so i went to a bridal shower yesterday and........

for 1 the place/food was awesome...Paddy McGee's in Island Park. Def. not a traditional shower but it made it all the more awesome.

what i'm most dissapointed in was the BP (don't know if any lurk on here or what not but if you do, you need to read this).

1 was supposed to be there at 1pm with the decorations (b/c she had them) didn't show up till 2:15 pm (it ended at 3:30) and just said she had to drive her friend to work in BK. Ummm if you knew you had a shower to be at, why would you do that???!!!! Everyone was asking where the decorations were and no one knew how to respond.

Another BP member came late too and was the 1st to leave. Not b/c she had important stuff to do (laundry) but just because.

the bride was going back to her place to open gifts and only 2 of us went. I would've felt like sh*t if that was me

Lesson learned: do not rely on anyone (of course we all know this) but even when you think they'll come through, they still don't. and #2 is that people just suck in general.

luckily the bride is so laid back and if that was me, i would've tore these girls a new a-hole

That stinks!!!! I hate selfish people!!!! I would have been so hurt and upset I feel so bad for that bride.
As much as people don't want to be Bridezilla, you have to be a little strict I feel... In all the weddings that I have been in where the bride was too relaxed and too laid back, the BP ALWAYS took advantage of the bride. Not right!

Sounds like a really crappy shower. Why didn't someone else throw it for her, family, instead of the BP who obviously seem like they couldn't be bothered.

oh no that so sucky, people need to actually care about this stuff thats what the bp is for damn it!!!! there should be a new WE series, bridesmaid bootcamp or something lol

I agree Joanna!! Even tho my BP has been pretty good thus far....they all wanna be involved. Came gown shopping & 2 are coming to the LOTS showcase...
