So I went to see my dress today, and I am NOT HAPPY

After giving me a song and dance about why I couldn't try my dress on because I wasn't having a fitting (***?) and demanding to see and try on my dress, they bring it out and hang it up.

IT'S MISSING THE 18 INCHES OF EXTRA TRAIN I ORDERED!!!!!!!

So I start to cry in the middle of the store, and my mother wants to kill. I said to the woman, 'What if I didn't see the dress until May when you wanted me to come for a fitting?' Then what?

Well, now they have to order a new dress, and hopefully get it right this time.

And the woman said to me 'Don't get upset, you're still gonna have a dress for your wedding.'

I wanted to hurt this lady.

talking down to you like that when she shoudl be bowing down and apologizing

id be reluctant to go back...sorry you have to deal with this

I don't think it was the shop, I think it was the manufacturer, but I can't be sure, so I would rather not say where it is.

The lessons I learned today:

1-follow your instincts, I normally would have just said fine to not trying it on, however, my gut told me to check it out.

2-remember not everything will go as planned, and with me it rarely does. Good preparation for the BIG DAY...

3-ORDER YOUR DRESS EARLY!!!! You never know what can happen...

4-put your foot down, you are the customer.

5-retail therapy helps, I bought 2 pairs of shoes for weddings today!

Being the daughter of a retailer, Id have been fuming. The customer is ALWAYS right and the saleslady's blase attitude would have me bi*ch slapping her upside the head!

The saleslady was definitely in the wrong in the way she treated you. I'm glad you caught their error and will get the dress you really want. And your tips are on the money! (especially the retail therapy, works everytime!)

Wow I can't believe how rude she was to you! Thank goodness you put your foot down and demanded to see your dress. I'm sure the right dress will come in on time

I would have been so pissed!!! Thank goodness you caught it on time and they can order you a new one. I know you think that it wasn't the store's fault, but I would think that they just didn't place the order right.
