About 6 mo ago, fh announced he had lumps under his arm pits. Supposedly, one has always been there. But now there are 5 or 6 of them, and they are unde both arm pits. They grow and they shrink. FH also just lost 15 pounds (w/o dieting)..... He won't go to the doctor, he says he scared. I've even made Dr. apts for him. He just won't go. Today he says 'what would you do if I died (after annoucing he notices he tired all the time... this may be because of sleep/work/play habits)' I said I would be mad at him, that he didn't care enough about me to at least get himself checked out. I am crying right now. Please tell me lumps are normal or that they could be nothing... what should I do....

They could turn out to be nothing. Sometimes I get a lump under my chin- usuually when I have a sore throat. I've been to the doctor about it and he says it's okay. But still, he needs to go get it checked out! It might be scary to find out but it's scarier never to find out.

First breathe-Men are the last to go to the docs. He needs to go and get checked out with some blood tests. Don't worry until you have to worry. It will probably amount to something minor that can be treated fast. The only thing you can do is urge him to see a doc.

You have Lymph nodes under your armpits so it is highly possible it isnt anything serious, but he DEF should get check out.

My mom had the same problem, and is not big on going to the doctor either. Problem is, she let it go for so long that the lump under her arm got to a point where it was huge and painful and she couldn't put her arm down all the way because of it!!
Turned out she had lymphomic cancer. Let him know this is not something to sleep on. If one doctor's visit can alleviate the stress of not knowing, it's worth it than sitting around waiting for it to possibly get worse!!

I get those sometimes and my dr. told me they were swollen glands. He def. should go get checked out but it ias probably nothing

It could be something as simple as clogged sweat glands from anti-perspirant, to swollen lymph nodes from any one of 100 different causes (some serious like cancer, some insignificant). The only way to find out is to get to the MD.
