So irritated - Vent - NWR

FH and I go to get in the car this morning and somone broke the window of our car and stole the GPS overnight. It was one of those external Garmin's that you leave on the dashboard. They didn't even take the charger. It was the perfect morning too. We woke up right at the alarm, jumped out of bed and were ready to leave the house by 6:45. We've been trying to get in really early so we can take a little time off before the wedding and not have to stress. (wedding is in 8 days!!! )

It was an X5 and we bought it not too long ago and were just so excited to have it. We called the cops and they told us that its not even worth it to take a report because our insurance will go up more than it costs to just replace the window and side panel. I get that but I am so annoyed that some person just goes walking by my stuff and can break something I own and go through it, take things, and just completely get away with it. FH and I made a commitment to each other to take everything in stride for the next week until our wedding and no stress so we're just dealing with it. But I am still really really really annoyed.

Sorry so long. I just needed to vent.

That stinks, but I think its really great that you are both trying your hardest to let it roll off your back so you don't have too much stress b4 the wedding. Take a deep breath, sit back and envision yourself walking down the aisle and then picture yourself on your honeymoon next to your HUSBAND!

I guess everything really does happen for a reason because if we weren't so excited about the wedding we would probably both be way more mad and then wind up fighting with each other out of frustration at the situation.

That happened to a woman that I worked with like 6 months ago. It happened during the day right outside the office! It's nuts.
There's some real losers out there.

I totally understand how that feels and I'm so sorry that happened to you!!! When I interned in the city, someone smashed my window and stole my stereo out of my dashboard when my car was in the RR station parking lot. Its awful and it's so terrible to know that you are working or going to school or whatever and just because someone wants something and doesnt feel that he/she needs to pay for it , they just steal it!

man that stinks! people really s*ck sometimes!!! i have a GPS & it comes w/ me when i leave for that very reason...people just don't respect others anymore! Look on the bright side...your getting married in a week!!!

We took the car in and we'll have it back and fixed today and tomorrow we'll take it to get cleaned so that criminals fingerprints or whatever are totally off it.

I'm not going to let this rain on my parade.

I'm so sorry, that is so annoying and wrong.

Sounds like you have a really healthy attitude about the whole thing though.

Exactly, if this is THE bad thing that had to happen the week of the wedding, then so be it. It'll just be a bump in the road. Good luck fixing the window.

PS- People S U C K sometimes, beleive in Kharma, it'll bite that person in the a$$!
