So is this a lot of $$?

An acoustic trio for cocktail hour. 10 songs.

$950 plus travel and meals.

hmm sounds kinda expensive...we got a string quartet for 2 hours for 1,000.

we booked them through our dj..after hours...and we saw the quartet at a showcase and they were very good

Seems like a lot of money considering you could get a string trio for around $500 and they'll probably play as many songs as it takes to get you through the hour.

Seems very expensive. I was quoted $900 for 3 hours of violin....

Not that they are the same, but $950 for 1 hour?? I think its too much.

that does sound like alot for an hour.. and you shouldn't have to pay for their meals... they're only there for an hour & they should be able to just take some cocktail food without you having to pay for that...

That is alot! Why do you have to pay for the travel and the meals!! That is crazy, if they are only for one hour/

Seems like a lot to me- I paid $150 for violin accompanyment at my ceremony- my church arranged it-

Hofstra has a music program- you may be able to get some students to do it a little more reasonably

I think it bothers me that its $950 plus traveling expenses- the meals I can see but the traveling expense seems crazy

I also had a harpist at my cocktail hour and she was AMAZING- highly recommend her- info in my review

I'm not sure since it's three musicians. Will the ten songs take up the whole hour?

think my FH and I got ripped off for our cocktail hour music - $500 for a pianist. Sounds like a lot in retrospect.

I know the harpist, J a n e t King was charging me 600 for an hour of cocktail music. (I was like, NOOOOOO!) so if you're having a trio, that's three ppl you're paying for - I guess it's about right, though I'd still shop around.

We got a calypso (spelling) band...2 pieces...steel drum, keyboard and vocalist from bravura for 600....they are very flexible with pricing! we got a great package from them!!

I come from a family of professional musicians and music teachers who play weddings and that's just outrageous. I just told my fiance and he yelled $900?!?!?!
