So it happened

someone told my parents about the house before we did!..... we were waiting until after contract was signed to tell them.... the appraiser called up my house and spoke with my mother, so they found out from a stranger..... and i have a feeling the appraiser told them where the house is because she was asking questions of how close is it to certain areas that are right there, and i saw the map was out on the kitchen table!!!

did you talk to her about it?

I would call and blast the apparaiser!!! they have NO right to tell anyone your business. I would be sooooooooooooo pissed

Not a wise move. Then the appraiser blasts you back by putting in an appraisal for 30k or so under the sales price.

Im so sorry, that is really annoying.

Maybe so, DJ but the appraiser had no right to talk about the house to her mother. But I guess the appraiser thought she knew about it.

Emily I just hope she doesn't go and ruin it all for you and Mike now. This really isn't the appraiser's fault - your mother really should be the one not to ruin it all for you. I would talk to her and explain that you want her to stand behind you and Mike even though she might not like the area so much.

Oh No! Where are you? I hope you're not fighting with her about it! You know what? Maybe it's a good thing she found out about it before it's yours ... maybe she'll help you in a way you never thought she would. Trust that it happened for a reason, but don't let her scare you away from doing what you feel is right. Good luck and stay strong! BElieve in yourself! (I sound like a preacher!)

What the apparaiser did was UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Next she will have her mortgage guy calling her parents to see if its ok for them to buy the house! Emily and her FI are ADULTS!!!!!!!!!!!! If her parents were buying the house that is different.

well i was right,......she didnt tell me, but she knows the ADDRESS location now .. i saw hidden under a calander a paper with the address in her handwriting.......

now we just have to hope she doesnt go to the house and scare the owners away.......UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I dont think the appraiser guy outright told them, i think kept questioning him, which is still not right to give it out
