Alright girls, so I just got back from my little visit with Pedestals! After blasting them for being unprofessional and not having the decency to give us a call after Vito left, they apologized about a hundred times. We are now working with a guy named Christopher (who I must say is extremely good looking lol). He went over our contract and our flowers, we made a few changes here and there, and we'll be seeing a sample centerpiece next week. He was very nice and showed us samples of his work (we were very pleased with what we saw). He even gave us his cell number so if we had any questions or concerns we could call him at any time. So it's all good now. I'm happy everything got sorted out

Very happy for you! I'm glad that they worked with you and apologized. Mostly I am glad that you are happy with what they are offering you - that is most important!

I had the same issue but double. I was working with phyllis then she was in a car accident and never came back. I later found out she passed away. I was then working with vito then he got in a car accident and never came back. I started to think maybe it was me. I have now moved to Rob. He is the manager I believe and assures me he is not leaving. If he does I swear i will stand in the middle of thier floor and scream.

They did not notify me either. I found out on the 2010 board and went there the next day. I would ask for a sample right away just to make sure they can get the same vision vito had

Okay girls - get this. My hubby and I booked with Pedestals last year, and were working with an awesome florist! I JUST found out that he no longer works there (and he hasn't apparently for some time now) and they never even had the decency to call and apologize and hook us up with someone else! I'm totally flabbergasted! My wedding is in 22 days and I have yet to see a completed centerpiece or bouquet! I'm just so angry!!! I'm going down there tomorrow with my fiance and I'm going to rip them a new a**hole! I can't believe the nerve of some vendors! They BETTER do something about this mess! Sorry for the vent, but I just had to get this out in the open! Grrr...

Ar eyou talking about Vito?? Because he opened hi sown place. I used Pedestals & had Vito & he was awesome! I would bet they woul dbe afraid they would lose you to his ne wplace.

Rob is very good. But Vito left to open his own place.

that's annoying that they never told you but i'm sure they'll do a good job for your wedding anyhow.

I am working with Pedestals as well, I met with Robert and Christopher. Robert is handling my flowers, but he had Christopher at our meeting since he was still training at the time I went. I thought he was very nice and we really liked his ideas (and also very good looking!)

Also, keep in mind that at most florists, there is a staff in the backroom who put together all the flowers. The person you meet with usually just makes one sample centerpiece for them to follow. You're still getting the same people in the backroom - you're flowers will be wonderful, I'm sure!

Please post pictures of the sample centerpieces!
